Whistler Transportation Options

Whistler is easy accessible from Vancouver airport. Here are some options for getting to Whistler from the International Airport...

Car

Travelling by car it should only take you approximately 2 1/2 hours. (During the winter, there is really no need for a car during your stay.)

Helicopter

Undoubtedly the fastest way to travel to and from Whistler is via helicopter. Take in the breathtaking scenery from the air is via helicopter. from Vancouver to Whistler.

Scenic Train

The Whistler Mountaineer takes approximately 3 hours to get from Vancouver to Whistler.

Bus

Option 1

  • The Pacific coach Bus leaves from the airport and will leave you outside the Woodrun building.
  • The cost is approximately $50 Canadian per adult each way and $32 Canadian for children 5-12 yrs, each way. This will leave from the airport.

Option 2

  • The other option is to take a taxi from the airport to the bus terminus in Vancouver which takes about 15 minutes.
  • This costs about $25 Canadian. A limo is about the same price as a taxi and offers more luggage space and is a treat for the kids.
  • The Greyhound bus from Vancouver to Whistler village is approximately $18 Canadian per adult one way.
  • The Greyhound bus drops you off beside the Whistler taxi stand.
  • Once you get to Whistler getting from the bus station to Whistler Woodrun is a 5 minute taxi ride.
  • This second option sounds like a lot of trouble but it is not really and can save you a lot, as you can see.
